Al Salam adds Chism to their roster, ex Bahrain Club

Al Salam (SBL) added to their roster experienced 36-year old American (has also Bahraini passport) power forward Wayne Chism (206cm-111kg-1987, college: Tennessee) for new 2023-24 season. Chism played last season at Bahrain Club in Bahrain Premier League.
His team won Bahrain Supercup in 2018 and 2019. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com Bahrain League All-Imports Team back in 2018 and 2019.
The previous (2021-22) season he played at Al Wehda in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 17 games he had very impressive stats: 15.4ppg, 12.5rpg, 2.5apg, 1.1spg and 1.5bpg in that year. Great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention.
Chism also represented Bahrain at the Gulf Coast Championship Winner five years ago.
He is quite experienced player. Chism's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in eleven different countries. Chism tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France (Aix Maurienne), Hungary (Alba, Sopron KC and Kaposvari), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil), Lebanon (Sagesse), Mexico (Aaguacateros), Philippines (Hotshots, Rain or Shine and NLEX Road Warriors), Turkey, Saudi Arabia (Ohod), NBA G League (Indiana Mad Ants) and The Basketball Tournament (Brothers DB).
He graduated from University of Tennessee in 2010 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player. His team won Bahrain Supercup in 2018 and 2019. Chism was selected to Asia-Basket.com Bahrain League All-Imports Team back in 2018 and 2019.
